Visa, together with Street Soccer USA and Bank of America, announced on March 28 a major expansion of the Visa Street Soccer parks initiative. The project will bring new soccer parks to each host city in the United States ahead of this summer’s FIFA World Cup 2026.
The expansion aims to benefit local communities by transforming underused spaces into active centers for sports, learning, and community connection. As the tournament approaches, these efforts are set to provide infrastructure and programming driven by community needs in all eleven U.S. host cities. Cities slated for new parks include Boston, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, Philadelphia and Tacoma.
Kim Lawrence, regional president for North America at Visa said: “With just a few months until the FIFA World Cup kicks off, we are moving from preparation to execution. This tournament is a global event but its legacy is built locally in neighborhoods that will welcome fans, families and the next generation of players. By expanding Visa Street Soccer parks and supporting local businesses as well as those who drive them every day, we are turning the momentum of the tournament into an important opportunity that will last far beyond the final match.”
The investment reflects a shared commitment among Visa, Street Soccer USA and Bank of America to use sport as a unifying force within communities.
As anticipation builds toward this summer’s global event on U.S. soil, organizers say they hope these local investments will have lasting benefits for residents long after the conclusion of play.
