Snapchat has announced the launch of Creator Subscriptions, a new feature aimed at helping creators engage with their fans and generate recurring revenue on the platform. The company will begin alpha testing this feature on February 23 with a select group of U.S.-based Snap Creators, and plans to extend access to more Snap Stars in Canada, the United Kingdom, and France in the coming weeks.

According to Snapchat, creators play an increasingly important role in driving connections within its community. In the fourth quarter of 2025, Snapchat reported having 946 million monthly active users. The number of U.S. users posting content to Spotlight increased by 47% year-over-year, reflecting significant growth in user activity and creativity.

Creator Subscriptions build upon existing monetization tools such as the Unified Monetization Program and Snap Star Collab Studio. This new offering introduces a premium connection between creators and their fans through features integrated into Stories, Chat, and replies.

“Creator Subscriptions give creators the freedom to experiment, reward their biggest supporters, and build a recurring income stream on Snapchat that grows with their audience,” Snapchat stated in its announcement. “They also offer:”

Creators will be able to set their own monthly pricing within tiers recommended by Snap, allowing them flexibility in defining the value of their community.

“This launch builds on our continued investment in a creator-first monetization ecosystem–one designed to help creators strengthen relationships with their communities and build sustainable, scalable businesses on Snapchat,” according to the company.
