Snap Inc. has announced the launch of Animate It, a new video generation feature available for Lens+ subscribers on Snapchat. The company describes Animate It as its first open prompt video generation Lens, designed to let users create short videos using artificial intelligence.

According to Snap Inc., the Animate It Lens uses an AI video generation model developed internally by the company. The tool enables users to transform their ideas into shareable video clips within seconds.

“Whether you want to animate a reaction, dream up a mini-movie, or turn a playful idea into a dynamic clip, Animate It allows you to create motion from pure imagination,” Snap stated in its announcement.

The new feature is accessible exclusively to those who subscribe to Lens+, Snapchat’s premium offering.
