Snapchat has reported significant growth in its creator ecosystem in India, marked by increased content engagement and a rise in new creations. The platform also highlighted the expanding community of Snap Stars, who are considered leading creators on Snapchat.

The company’s recent initiative, Snapchat Creator Connect, was held in Delhi as part of a multi-city program aimed at supporting young storytellers. The event brought together creators, Snap Stars, and industry stakeholders. One of the main features was Snap School, an educational and mentorship program designed to help creators improve their storytelling skills and grow their presence on the platform. Sessions during the event covered monetization opportunities through global revenue share and rewards programs, as well as augmented reality (AR) innovations that allow creators to connect more deeply with their audiences.

Bollywood actor Ammy Virk and Punjabi cinema actress Sonam Bajwa participated in a fireside chat at the event. They discussed life beyond work, their upcoming film, and shared why they prefer Snapchat for connecting with fans.

Attendees were also introduced to Snapchat’s fifth-generation Spectacles AR glasses. Features such as real-time Lenses and Spectator Mode received positive feedback from the audience for their integration with mobile devices.

Snapchat’s approach differs from traditional platforms by focusing on vertical-first stories and AR-driven creativity. This method has resulted in strong engagement among younger users in India, especially those experimenting with Lenses during festivals or producing short-form videos that emphasize visual storytelling.

The platform collaborates with major Indian brands across various sectors including fashion, lifestyle, beauty, personal care, quick commerce, and consumer technology. Companies like Myntra, Flipkart, L’Oreal, Unilever, and Reckitt have worked with Snap Stars and top AR creators to reach Gen Z consumers through influencer marketing campaigns. Brands can utilize tools such as Creator & Content Discovery on Snap Ads Manager for direct support in finding suitable creators and maximizing campaign impact.

Snapchat has also developed a network of creator agencies throughout India’s major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, and Kolkata to further strengthen local partnerships.

In addition to entertainment figures, athletes are increasingly using Snapchat to engage fans. Cricketers Abhishek Sharma, Arshdeep Singh, Washington Sundar, Rishabh Pant—and Olympic gold medalist Neeraj Chopra—are among those leveraging Snapchat’s tools to share moments from their lives and encourage interest in sports among young people.
