Snapchat announces winners of first Snappys Awards Show recognizing top creators

Snapchat announced on Apr. 1 the winners of its inaugural Snappys Awards Show, which honored 22 creators for their creative work and influence on the Snapchat platform.

The event marks a new effort by Snapchat to highlight individuals who are shaping culture and building community through the app. The company said that these awards recognize creators’ excellence, cultural impact, and their ability to connect with audiences in authentic ways.

During the show, Snapchat revealed that Creator Subscriptions are now available to all eligible users. This move is intended to help creators grow sustainable businesses and build deeper relationships with fans.

The awards ceremony featured a range of well-known Snap Stars and cultural figures such as host Matt Friend, Harry Jowsey, Candiace Dillard Bassett, Jeremiah Brown, Nic Vans, David Dobrik, Dixie D’Amelio, Francesca Farago, JoJo Siwa, Skai Jackson and others. Winners included Ashton Hall (Breakout Creator), Ella Moncrief (One To Watch), AdamW (Spotlight MVP), Zaina Sesay (Best Use of Creative Tools), Rachel Levin (Best Storyteller), Mohamad el Asmar (Top Lens Creator), Cheyenne Davis (Community Builder) and several more across various categories including music, food, fashion and gaming.

The company said that these recognitions reflect Snapchat’s ongoing investment in supporting both emerging talent and established stars through new monetization opportunities and expanded audience reach via features like Spotlight.

Other notable honorees included Kylie Jenner as Comeback Star; DJ Khaled for Lifetime Achievement; David Dobrik as Creator of the Year; Leilani Green for Top Beauty Creator; Ari Fletcher for Top Lifestyle Creator; Dwight Howard for Top Athlete Creator; Leon Thomas for Top Music Creator; Jack Mancuso for Top Food Creator; Ashley Graham for Top Fashion Creator; LaLa Milan for Top Comedy Creator; Lauren Ashley Beck as Top On-Camera Correspondent; Dimucc as Top Gamer Creator; Justus and Kayla Tucker as Top Family Creators.

Looking ahead after this inaugural event, Snapchat aims to continue expanding opportunities for its creator community.
