Sempra has been named one of “America’s Best Employers for Company Culture” by Forbes. The list, created in collaboration with Statista, surveyed over 200,000 U.S.-based employees from companies with at least 1,000 workers. Participants assessed their employers on aspects such as fairness, acceptance, and opportunity.

Lisa Larroque Alexander, senior vice president and chief human resources officer at Sempra, commented on the recognition: “At Sempra, there is a strong commitment to building a high-performance culture. That is because efforts to modernize energy systems to serve the needs of customers demand exceptional talent and a culture that empowers every individual to thrive,” she said. “By investing in our high-performance culture, we’re advancing our business while helping shape a brighter, more resilient future for our stakeholders. We’re honored that Forbes recognizes Sempra’s commitment to championing our people.”

The award follows other recent acknowledgments for Sempra’s workplace environment in 2025. The company was also included in Fortune’s World’s Most Admired Companies list and recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the Best Companies to Work For. Additionally, Viqtory, Inc named Sempra a Military-Friendly Employer.

These distinctions reflect Sempra’s ongoing efforts to promote innovation and opportunity among its workforce of about 20,000 employees across its group of companies.

Sempra is an energy infrastructure firm operating across North America and serving nearly 40 million consumers. It owns one of the continent’s largest energy networks and focuses on electrification and improving resilience in major markets including California, Texas, Mexico, and beyond. The company is known for sustainable business practices and safety standards; it is also part of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index North America.
