The Los Angeles Tourism & Convention Board has congratulated the Los Angeles Dodgers on their 2025 World Series victory, marking the team’s second consecutive championship. This achievement makes the Dodgers the first Major League Baseball team to win back-to-back titles in 25 years.

“Congratulations to our beloved Dodgers! Going back-to-back as World Series Champions is a celebration that reaches far beyond the field,” said Adam Burke, President & CEO, Los Angeles Tourism. “It reflects the passion, pride, and perseverance that define Los Angeles. And congratulations to the Toronto Blue Jays and their fans on a fantastic season and an epic series for the ages! With 11 professional teams – the most in the nation – Los Angeles offers sports enthusiasts around the world year-round opportunities to take in a game while exploring our vibrant, diverse neighborhoods.”

The recent success of global players Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto has further strengthened ties between Los Angeles and Japan. Japan is now one of LA’s leading international visitor markets.

Looking ahead, Los Angeles will host several major sporting events including NBA All-Star 2026, FIFA World Cup 2026, Super Bowl LXI in 2027, and the Olympic & Paralympic Games in 2028. The city continues to position itself as a major center for sports and entertainment.

Los Angeles Tourism encourages fans to celebrate by exploring local attractions such as Dodgers murals throughout the city and following guides for game day experiences. The organization also highlights opportunities for visitors to discover neighborhoods beyond sports venues, from Hollywood landmarks to beaches, suggesting itineraries like three-day tours of LA sports attractions or combining food experiences with sporting events.
