The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce has acknowledged the progress made in recovery efforts following the Eaton and Palisades wildfires, which occurred six months ago. The organization expressed support for government officials leading these efforts.

“Six months after the devastating Eaton and Palisades fires, we are encouraged by the steady progress in recovery and rebuilding efforts across the region,” said Maria S. Salinas, President and CEO of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. “We commend Governor Gavin Newsom, Mayor Karen Bass, and county officials for their leadership and swift action in mobilizing resources, streamlining processes, and supporting displaced residents and businesses.”

The Chamber is continuing its focus on long-term economic recovery by providing financial assistance to small businesses affected by the wildfires through its Small Business Disaster Relief Fund. The fund aims to help these businesses access resources needed for rebuilding.

“As recovery continues, we urge ongoing collaboration across public, private, and nonprofit sectors to help our communities emerge even stronger,” added Salinas.
