The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) is inviting locals and districts to honor fallen members by purchasing personalized bricks for the IAM Workers Memorial. The memorial, located at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland, serves as a tribute to workers who have died due to workplace incidents.

The deadline for ordering personalized bricks is Sunday, March 1, 2026. Bricks can be purchased in several formats: a $100 brick with three lines of text (up to 20 characters per line), a $125 option that includes the IAM logo with three lines of up to 15 characters each, or an 8×8 brick for $200 that allows more text and optional logos. Supporters may also buy a commemorative tile for $10.

For locals with members who lost their lives on the job or from work-related causes, complimentary bricks are available upon submitting a completed order form.

The IAM Workers’ Memorial was completed in 2001 and features bricks inscribed with names of deceased members as well as contributions from lodges and individual supporters. An annual ceremony is held at the site to remember those lost and reaffirm efforts toward improving workplace safety. The date for this year’s ceremony will be announced later.
