The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Women’s & Young Workers Department has opened registration for two upcoming leadership programs scheduled for March 2026 at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland.

The Women’s Leadership Program will take place from March 1 to March 6, 2026. This program aims to encourage union members to become more active within their local chapters and districts. The curriculum focuses on developing skills in organizing, parliamentary procedure, political and legislative involvement, strategic planning, and network building.

Following this, the Advanced Women’s Leadership Program is set for March 15 to March 20, 2026. This advanced session is intended for those who have completed the initial Women’s Leadership Program. It builds upon previous learning while further enhancing critical leadership abilities in similar areas.

According to the IAM Women’s & Young Workers Department: “Women’s Leadership Programs equip IAM sisters with the tools and confidence needed to lead effectively at every level of the union and to strengthen solidarity across our membership.”

Registration details are outlined in an official call letter that also includes information about tuition, transportation, and curriculum. Prospective participants must use the Departmental Program Registration Form to register.

The deadline for registering for the Women’s Leadership Program is January 21, 2026. The deadline for the Advanced Women’s Leadership Program is February 11, 2026.

For questions or additional information, members are advised to contact the department at 301-967-4747.

The department encourages eligible members to participate: “Eligible members are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this important educational opportunity and continue building a stronger, more inclusive IAM.”
