Registration is now open for the 2026 Veteran’s Advocate Training organized by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Veteran Services Department. The training will take place from February 8 to 13, 2026, at the William W. Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Hollywood, Maryland. Interested members must submit their registration by Monday, December 15, 2025.

The program offers instruction on U.S. Veterans Affairs benefits provided by certified professionals. Upon completion, participants will join the IAM-wide Veteran Service Officer (VSO) team, which assists IAM members who are U.S. military veterans.

According to the IAM Veteran Services Department, “Through this course, members acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to assist veterans in navigating the often-complex VA benefits system, ensuring that our brothers and sisters who served receive the support, resources, and respect they deserve.”

Details about tuition coverage, transportation arrangements, and curriculum specifics are included in the official call letter for the event.

Members interested in participating can register using the Departmental Program Registration Form. For further information or questions regarding the training or registration process, individuals may contact the IAM Veteran Services Department at 301-967-4500.
