IAM District 837 and Boeing Defense set to resume talks with federal mediator

IAM District 837 and Boeing Defense will resume contract negotiations on Monday, according to a statement released by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) District 837. The two sides will meet with the assistance of a federal mediator in an attempt to resolve the ongoing strike.

“The bargaining committees for Boeing and IAM 837 have agreed to return to negotiations on Monday with the help of a federal mediator in an effort to find a path to end the strike,” the union said in its statement.

The IAM represents around 600,000 active and retired members across North America in sectors including aerospace, defense, airlines, shipbuilding, rail, transit, healthcare, and automotive industries.
