Today marks Giving Tuesday, an annual event encouraging people around the world to support charitable organizations following Black Friday and Cyber Monday. The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) is highlighting its preferred charity, Guide Dogs of America | Tender Loving Canines (GDA | TLC), which has launched its Holidays of Hope fundraiser.

GDA | TLC provides service dogs to individuals in need, including military veterans with PTSD, people who are blind or visually impaired, and children with autism. According to the organization, donations made during this campaign will help deliver confidence, companionship, and support through trained service dogs.

The IAM encourages supporters to contribute to GDA | TLC’s efforts. “Each donation you make today will directly benefit a military veteran with PTSD, a person who is blind or visually impaired, or a child with autism who needs the life-changing confidence, love, and hope that a service dog provides,” according to the organization.

The fundraiser aims to increase resources for providing these essential services as part of Giving Tuesday’s global initiative.
