Disney and Snapchat have announced a joint marketing campaign to promote the upcoming release of Zootopia 2. The collaboration aims to engage fans both within the Snapchat app and at physical locations in Los Angeles.

The campaign will feature popular characters from the film, including Judy Hopps, Nick Wilde, and Clawhauser. It will also involve the Snapchat community, encouraging users to connect with friends through the app’s features.

As part of the promotion, there will be out-of-home activations at well-known sites such as The Grove and The Americana in Los Angeles. In addition, moviegoers attending Zootopia 2 screenings will see a special on-screen cameo where Snapchat is reimagined as “Snapcat.” This scene includes Clawhauser taking a selfie with an augmented reality (AR) Lens during a Gazelle concert.

Within the Snapchat platform, U.S. users will receive a Sponsored Snap featuring characters from Zootopia 2 directly in their Chat inboxes. Globally, all Snapchatters can access seven new AR Lenses inspired by characters from the film. These lenses will be available through a Zootopia 2-branded AR Bar in the Lens carousel from November 24 to 27.
