Registration is now open for members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) to attend the 55th International Convention of the Coalition of Black Trade Unionists (CBTU). The event will take place at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, located at 265 Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia.

The CBTU Convention serves as a gathering point for trade unionists from across the United States to discuss key labor issues. At last year’s convention, IAM members participated in workshops focused on organizing, conflict resolution, leadership development, building power within unions, and sharing strategies aimed at strengthening both their own organization and the wider labor movement.

A special group room rate has been arranged for attendees at $185 per night plus applicable taxes at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta. The deadline to reserve rooms under this rate is April 24, 2026. Reservations require a one-night credit card deposit that can be refunded if canceled by April 15, 2026. After April 24, hotel reservations will depend on availability and may be subject to higher rates.

Hotel bookings are recommended through the official CBTU booking link. Alternatively, IAM members can make reservations by calling 1-877-803-7534 and referencing CBTU; however, online booking remains preferred.
