Each week, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) publishes new filings related to utility services in the state. These filings can include Proposed Decisions, complaints, and applications that may affect future regulatory actions.

For the week of July 28 through August 1, 2025, several notable items were added. A Proposed Decision was filed on July 28 regarding the Test Year 2025 General Rate Case for Southern California Edison Company. Another Proposed Decision, filed August 1, would grant a joint application for a change of control involving Crimson Pipeline, L.P. and San Pablo Bay Pipeline Company, LLC.

New applications were also submitted during this period. On July 28, Axxess Networks, LLC applied for registration as a telephone corporation under Public Utilities Code Section 1013. Two days later, Charter Communications and Cox Enterprises jointly applied for approval of an indirect transfer of control of Cox California Telcom under Public Utilities Code Section 854.

The CPUC allows public participation in these proceedings. “If a Proposed Decision is listed, you can submit a written comment directly on the proceeding’s Docket Card. For any proceeding, you can also subscribe to the CPUC’s Subscription Service using the proceeding number to receive updates, rulings, and notices.”

“Submit a public comment on any Proposed Decision via the CPUC Docket Card.”

“Subscribe to a proceeding using its number to receive future updates.”

These steps are intended to keep communities and consumers informed about developments that may impact them.
