Each week, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) announces new filings that affect utility services and regulatory actions in the state. For the week of October 27-31, 2025, several proceedings have been added or updated.
Among the Proposed Decisions open for public comment is one related to Pacific Gas and Electric Company. The decision concerns the company’s revenue requirement for supporting continued operations at Diablo Canyon Power Plant and addresses a proposal for 2026 Volumetric Performance Fees. Another Proposed Decision opens a rulemaking process to design clean energy financing options for electricity and natural gas customers in California. Additionally, a decision was issued adopting revised requirements for data gathering and reporting on transportation electrification programs, clarifying measures from an earlier CPUC decision.
New complaints and applications were also filed during this period. Macca Rentals LLC has applied for authority to operate as a scheduled Passenger Stage Corporation between San Ysidro and Sacramento, including requests to establish a zone of rate freedom. Other filings include complaints against San Diego Gas and Electric Company over alleged incorrect application of electric tariff rules, billing error allegations against Southern California Edison Company, and claims of billing errors with violations of tariff rules against Southern California Gas Company.
An appeal was also submitted by White Diamond Limousine/Humberto Bringas Trejo regarding a $2,000 citation issued by the CPUC Consumer Protection and Enforcement Division.
The CPUC encourages members of the public to submit comments on any Proposed Decision through its Docket Card system. Individuals can also subscribe to specific proceedings using their assigned numbers to receive updates on rulings and notices.
