The California Public Utilities Commission announced on April 6 that several new filings and proposed decisions have been added to its docket for the week of March 30 to April 3, potentially affecting utility services and consumers across the state.

These weekly updates are important because they include regulatory actions, applications, and complaints that may shape future policies in California’s utility sector. Many of these filings are open for public comment or subscription updates through the CPUC’s online services.

Among the highlighted items is a Proposed Decision seeking to close Proceeding R.20-09-001, which is now available for public comment. The commission encourages written comments directly on each proceeding’s Docket Card and offers a Subscription Service for those wishing to receive ongoing updates using specific proceeding numbers.

New applications filed this week include VoxSierra LLC’s request for registration as a telephone corporation under public utilities code section 1013 (A26-03-032), and a joint application by Stonepeak Associates IV LLC, Radiate Holdings L.P., and Google Fiber Inc. seeking approval to transfer indirect control of Webpass Telecommunications LLC and Google Fiber North America Inc., among other related changes (A26-04-001). Another significant filing comes from Southern California Edison Company (A26-04-002), which seeks commission verification regarding compliance with its adopted procurement plan during calendar year 2025, as well as an $11.531 million increase in revenue requirement due to net under collection in fourteen accounts.

Two new complaints allege billing errors: Joseph Northington vs. Pacific Gas and Electric Company (C26-03-033) and Robert Howe & Thuy Howe vs. San Diego Gas & Electric Company (C26-03-034). Additionally, an appeal by the City of San Jose concerning a citation issued in February 2019 has been re-opened under Proceeding K19-03-024.

The CPUC continues to invite public participation through written comments or by subscribing for notifications on specific proceedings.
