Each week, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) releases updates on new filings that affect utility services, communities, and consumers in the state. These filings include Proposed Decisions open for public comment, as well as new complaints and applications that may influence future policy and regulatory decisions.

For the week of October 20-24, 2025, several key filings were announced. Among them is a Proposed Decision in Proceeding R2303007, filed on October 24, 2025. This decision addresses the timing and amount of the 2026 Wildfire Fund Non-Bypassable Charge. Members of the public are invited to submit written comments directly on the proceeding’s Docket Card.

New complaints and applications were also submitted during this period. On October 21, Liberty Utilities (CalPeco Electric) LLC filed an application (A2510010) seeking authority to update rates under its Energy Cost Adjustment Clause and its California Climate Credit program, effective January 1, 2026.

Another application was filed by Vested Networks LLC (A2510011) on October 16 for registration as a telephone corporation under Public Utilities Code section 1013.

Additionally, Armando Diaz appealed a $4,000 citation issued by the CPUC Consumer Protection and Enforcement Division in Proceeding K2510009.

An older proceeding (A0507010), originally filed in July 2005 and now reopened, involves PacifiCorp and MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company requesting exemption from certain approval requirements related to PacifiCorp’s acquisition by MidAmerican.

The CPUC encourages public participation through written comments on Proposed Decisions via Docket Cards. Individuals can also subscribe to specific proceedings using their numbers to receive ongoing updates and notices.
