Each week, new filings are added to ongoing and new proceedings at the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC). These filings can influence utility services, policies, and regulatory actions in California. The filings include Proposed Decisions, which are often open for public comment, as well as new complaints and applications.
During the week of December 1-5, 2025, several items were filed:
In Proceeding A21-06-021, a proposed decision was filed on December 2, 2025. The decision grants compensation to the Wild Tree Foundation for its substantial contribution to Decision (D.) 23-11-069.
In Proceeding R20-01-007, a proposed decision was also filed on December 2, 2025. This decision grants compensation to the Environmental Defense Fund for its significant contribution to Decision 23-12-003.
A presiding officer’s decision in Proceeding C24-12-012 was filed on December 2, 2025. The complaint in this proceeding was dismissed without prejudice.
Avalon Freight Services LLC submitted an application in Proceeding A25-12-001 on December 1, 2025. The company seeks authorization to modify rates for its scheduled vessel common carrier freight service between the Port of Los Angeles and Avalon on Santa Catalina Island.
Southern California Edison Company filed an application in Proceeding A25-12-002 on December 4, 2025. The company requests authorization to recover incremental costs related to wildfire mitigation and catastrophic events.
An earlier application from Volcano Vision, Inc., dated April 28, 2025 (Proceeding A25-04-018), seeks a certificate of public convenience and necessity to provide facilities-based and resold local exchange services.
