The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) will hold its next Voting Meeting on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at 11 a.m. The meeting is open to the public both in person at the CalEPA Coastal Hearing Room in Sacramento and remotely via webcast and phone.

The CPUC’s Voting Meetings are where decisions are made about essential services such as energy, water, communications, and transportation for Californians. Each session begins with an opportunity for public comment.

On the agenda is a proposal to open a new interconnection rulemaking (Item 39). This proceeding aims to refine how distributed energy resources connect to the grid with goals of improving safety, reliability, transparency, and cost efficiency as clean energy technology advances.

The CPUC encourages public participation. Information about the meeting agenda, presentation materials, items held over for future meetings, and remote access details can be found on their website: https://www.cpuc.ca.gov/events-and-meetings/voting-meeting-2025-08-14

“Each meeting begins with public comment, and we welcome your voice whether you’re attending in person or calling in remotely.”

“Your input matters. We encourage everyone to participate and stay engaged in the decision-making process.”

Remote attendance options are available for those unable to join in person.
