California announces winter travel deals across hotels, resorts, and theme parks

California is offering a range of travel deals this winter, with discounts on hotels, restaurants, and theme parks across the state. These offers aim to attract visitors during the colder months when destinations are less crowded.

In Northern California, Mendocino is hosting its Seafood & Sips festival from January 30 to February 8. Travelers can receive up to 30 percent off hotel stays at participating properties by mentioning the festival when booking. In Napa Valley, the Little Book of Big Experiences wine passport provides access to ten wineries for $95, offering potential savings of over $600 on tastings and tours through March 31, 2026.

Santa Rosa’s Vinarosa Resort & Spa is featuring a Grand Gesture package for Valentine’s Day that includes amenities such as a suite, breakfast in bed, couples massage, private dinners, and a personalized drone show. The package starts at $23,000. Families visiting Soda Springs ski resort in North Lake Tahoe can purchase season passes for $699 covering two adults and two children without blackout dates.

The Kimpton Sawyer in Sacramento is promoting its King for a Day package for NBA fans attending Kings games downtown. This offer includes perks like gift cards and complimentary valet parking until April 30. Santa Cruz’s Dream Inn has a Ride Out the Storm deal with 20 percent off rates and added dining credit through February 28.

Visitors to Redding can get free tickets to local attractions or $50 gift cards by booking two-night stays at select hotels.

In Central California, Yosemite National Park offers winter cabin rates starting at $84 in Curry Village through March 26. Discounts are also available at Ahwahnee Hotel and Yosemite Valley Lodge if booked by January 31. Mammoth Mountain’s Quad Pack+ provides four flexible lift tickets with no blackout days and discounted reloads; tickets are valid all season including nearby June Mountain.

Limelight Mammoth in Mammoth Lakes has a grand-opening deal with 20 percent off rates plus dining credit for stays through June 30, 2026. Modesto’s Almond Blossom Cruise packages include seasonal perks like swag bags and admission to bus tours during almond blossom season in February and March.

Monterey Bay Inn’s whale-watching package combines accommodation with an excursion along Cannery Row near Fisherman’s Wharf.

Southern California destinations also have several promotions. Kimpton Shorebreak in Huntington Beach gives guests every fourth night free along with social hours and bike loans. Additional deals are available on the city’s tourism website.

The Lodge at Torrey Pines in La Jolla bundles golf tournament tickets or up to 20 percent off room rates for zoo ticket holders. Catalina Island hotels offer romance packages that include transportation via Catalina Express along with champagne and chocolates; midweek winter packages are available until March 13.

Anaheim Portofino Inn & Suites features a fourth night free offer near Disneyland Resort while Universal Studios Hollywood is selling annual passes that last fifteen months if purchased before April 8, 2026.

San Diego’s Ocean Park Inn takes fifteen percent off room rates plus free parking for minimum two-night stays through March 1; seniors receive free admission to San Diego Zoo Safari Park throughout February as part of Museum Month which grants half-off entry at more than seventy museums with library-issued passes.

Palm Desert’s Westin Desert Willow Villas offers up to twenty percent off bookings made by April 3 for stays through June 19; similar discounts apply at Marriott’s Desert Springs Villas nearby. Mojave Resort presents relaxation-focused packages including nightly amenities such as lavender-scented eye masks at its adults-only property near El Paseo shopping district.

Temecula’s Ponte Vineyard Inn provides romance packages featuring chocolate-covered strawberries, wine bottles, gift cards or bundled wine country tours hosted by Grapeline Wine Tours.

Disneyland in Anaheim has kids’ park hopper tickets priced at fifty dollars per child starting January 21 alongside special resident offers—three-day park hopper tickets from eighty-three dollars per day between January and May—plus up to twenty-five percent off resort stays booked by May 7 for visits before May 22.

LEGOLAND California Resort in Carlsbad reduces hotel rates by thirty percent while providing kids’ Hopper tickets (including Sea Life Aquarium) for thirty-nine dollars from January through year-end.

These statewide offers reflect an effort among California tourism businesses to encourage visitation during the quieter winter period while giving travelers opportunities for savings on accommodations and attractions.
